It is common to see sweaty bodies in a dance class but we were barely fifteen minutes into our session when we all agreed that the room was too hot and stuffy even with all the windows open.
The choreographer whose name is Zaine came in with a gentleman we assumed to be a guest teacher because he looked and walked like a dancer.
It came as a shock when Zaine told us that he was not just her friend but also an HVAC professional who had come to fix the electric heating system. After the brief introduction, the heating technician went straight to the wireless thermostat than to the heat pump install while we continued with our practice. The training sessions were becoming more intense the closer we got to the competition. Some minutes later, Zaine’s friend came back and told her that the electric heater needed repair and from the look of things it must have been a while since any heater maintenance had been done. The steam boiler needed new parts, which would explain why the other class before us complained that the shower only had cold water. Other than that the heating equipment did not have any more issues. In an hour, the replacement parts had been brought and the electric heat pump was as good as new. The HVAC serviceman showed various HVAC products for sale on the company website on his work tablet that we could consider for our own home. While we were admiring the array of things we could add to our home to improve indoor comfort, he suggested that we get a HEPA filter for the dance studio. Before he left not only gave us energy-saving tips, he also showed us a few amazing dance moves. It turned out he was indeed a dancer but he did it more of a hobby.
