A four hour installation job

For the past 3 years I have been renting a condo in a beautiful complex.

  • My two bedroom condo is quite stylish and comfortable, and I really appreciate the fact that the building overlooks a serene pond surrounded by trees.

I love to watch the ducks swim through the pond at sunset out on my balcony after a long day at work. It’s a great view, and I’m on the top floor, so I don’t have to deal with any noise above me. For the longest time, there was only one major complaint that I had about living in this condo. My landlord was very reluctant to replace the air conditioner unit. The air conditioner unit in my condo was very faulty, and he would have to send a repairman out every other month to fix it. It took him the longest time to simply replace the darn thing. Finally, one day, he called in a service technician to install a brand new air conditioner instead of fighting with the old one anymore. I decided to take that day off from work so that I could let the HVAC technician in and observe his work on my air conditioner. After the technician arrived and did a quick inspection of the situation, he informed me that his installation job would take approximately 4 hours. I assumed it may take him twice that long, or at least the entire day, so I asked him why it was only going to take 4 hours. He responded by saying that my ductwork was in excellent shape, and thus, it did not need to be replaced. This would significantly cut down on the time it would take to install the air conditioner. He wasn’t wrong, and right around the 4-hour mark, he was finished with his job. Ever since the new air conditioner was installed, I have not had any problems whatsoever with HVAC!
