A late start on my HVAC system

Last summer was very temperate for this part of the country ,and I guess it lulled me into a false sense of security.

Usually I am pretty well prepared by the time the summer heat settles in, but this year it came early and caught me unawares. I was just taking the cover off the pool, because it was a warm day, but then it kept getting warmer, and the humidity kept rising, and I realized that summer had arrived. Now I was running behind, and I needed to act quickly to ensure the summer stayed nice and comfortable inside my climate control system. BEcause of the intense heat and humidity, during the summer season my central HVAC system tends to stay on all day and all night. The A/C is on 24/7 in other words, and even if the cooling is active, the fans are always in motion to keep the air circulating through the house. With all the extra use, the HVAC system needs an annual tube up before the season, not to mention the air filters need to be checked and changed. A simple tip to all homeowners is to keep a few extra air filters on end, because you never know when you will need one. By the time I called my normal HVAC company, they were booked solid for the next three weeks. I had to start calling around to other local HVAC techs, to see who could get out to my house the fastest. Fortunately, I found someone who could make it to see me that very day.
