Sometimes during the summer months, we run into some heavy storms. Lightning and wind storms are crazy followed up by lots of rain. It can be scary for some, especially if you are a recent resident of my hometown. I have lived here my whole life so I’m used to it and these storms just pass on. The summers are just too beautiful to ignore. The only thing I fear during a storm is the damage that could be caused. I do my best to make sure that a storm doesn’t destroy anything but I can’t stop everything. Mother nature can be cruel at times! Recently we had a massive windstorm and our power went out. Winds as we received only come around every few years so sometimes you just are not prepared for it. This one hurt me a little. The power was out for about a day and then thankfully it turned back on. The thing about the power turning back on is that sometimes bad things can happen. In this situation, my air conditioning system stopped working. After the storm, there was a massive heat wave and it would’ve been nice to have air conditioning. We did get in contact with the HVAC company but they wouldn’t have a cooling specialist ready until after the heat wave. I have to take extra precautions to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again. I’m hoping when the cooling technician comes, they will be able to provide some good feedback. If anything, maybe I’ll just upgrade the HVAC system that we currently have.
