A summer HVAC unit emergency

I woke up drenched in sweat, and my bedside alarm clock indicated that it was three o’clock in the morning.

I uncovered myself and discarded the little pieces of clothing I had, and went back to sleep.

By dawn, I was sure that there was a problem with the cooling install. I checked the air filter and looked for anything that physically seemed out of place. When I could not find any obvious issue, I called the cooling expert to determine what was wrong with the cooling equipment. In the meantime, I tried sitting on the porch to cool off, but it was not very effective. I did an internet search to find the possible problems that could have caused the malfunction. In the process, I learned more about the cooling industry and more about cooling technology. I got a few tips on saving energy while effectively cooling my home. I also found that there are washable filters that one could wash once they gathered dust and then put back, unlike the HEPA filter, which I needed to replace. The cooling specialist arrived later in the afternoon. He took his time inspecting the HVAC system, and after quality AC service, it was running smoothly again. By the time I was coming back from grocery shopping, the indoor air quality was not just up to standard; it was better than it had been for months. It is incredible how maintenance can improve the air quality in a home. The climate control system was running optimally, and I even noticed that it was less noisy. I enjoyed the rest of the summer, not just outside but even when I had to stay indoors.
