My parents live an hour down south from my siblings & I.
It is sort of a pain anytime the two of us want to see them.
An hour is a long time to just sit in the car. It is a straight shot & a real boring drive. My parents need rides to the airport, rides to come & visit us & they also want corporation, but so it is a lot of back & forth. To make it better, the siblings team up; Usually the two of us go in a pair to provide the other a single corporation. This last weekend, my oldest sibling & I drove down to see mom & dad. My sibling has this old pickup truck that the two of us had to bring. My parents needed things hauled & wanted to send stuff back with us. The old truck barely runs & frequently breaks down. Well this time on the trip the AC just stopped working; One hour the two of us had quality cooling & then the car felt love 100 degrees. When you live in the south, cooling is super necessary. Natural air coming through the windows just doesn’t cut it. The sunshine was pouring in through the windows & making the leather seats hotter too. With no a/c & only hot, muggy air, the two of us were sweaty beasts. By the time the two of us arrived to our parent’s the two of us had soaked through our shirts, underwear & shorts. The first thing the two of us did was sit by their lake loft cooling system. Both of us both dreaded the ride back lake loft with no AC the whole time the two of us were there.
