Bad experience with the Air Conditioning equipment

This last Springtime has been really hard for us.

The people I was with and I were getting really bombarded with rainstorms! There were all kinds of flash floods & the rain was just relentless. It didn’t help that our Heating & Air Conditioning system ended up chopping down on us while in that time! Apparently, a lot of people were dealing with Heating & Air Conditioning system failures because the Heating & Air Conditioning companies were truly backed up for up to a week. The people I was with and I faced a bad ordeal when our Heating & Air Conditioning gave out & all of us had to wait about 5 afternoons. This was while in tons of rain & all of us even experienced a power outage that lasted for a whole day. At least while in the power outage, everybody had to deal with the lack of air conditioner just appreciate us, so everybody was miserable. The power outage was easily bad though because all of us & a bunch of others in the section experienced flooding in the basement. The only people who were able to get through separate from flooding were those who had backup generators. I heard all kinds of stories about people having their Heating & Air Conditioning units destroyed because of the flooding as well. I assume in this type of situation, you entirely must have your Heating & Air Conditioning unit up on stilts or something to keep it out of the water. Water damage is really destructive to Heating & Air Conditioning equipment. Let’s face it, electric components & water don’t mix really well. Our flooding wasn’t nearly as bad as all the people because all of us have excellent draining in the basement. The people I was with and I were thankful when the power came back on, however all of us still had to deal with the bad air quality & lack of a cooling system. After that experience, all of us decided to enroll in an Heating & Air Conditioning system maintenance plan, & also all of us invested in a nice backup generator.
