Be careful with how you heat the home

As colder weather arrives & the temperatures continue to lower, you will want to keep warm indoors.

You run your oil furnace more often while in these cold times of the year.

So all of us can remain comfortable inside of our homes but this results in higher energy costs. You can make the most of your energy consumption & stop heating costs by avoiding some regular home heating mistakes. There is no need to heat the house if you are at the office for most of the day or away for a weekend. A wifi thermostat will allow you to set the rapidly decreasing temperatures throughout the day & will help you save money on energy bills. Don’t make the mistake of trying to heat your home faster by cranking up the thermostat up higher than it needs to be. Setting your component to a bigger setting will have no effect on how fast your home heats up. really, your program will end up running longer than expected, leading to a higher utility bill. Leaving your windows not sealed is a regular mistake a lot of people make. Closing your windows isn’t good enough. You should lock them too to avoid losing energy. A window that is not tightly locked will allow frosty air from the outside to come into your condo & warm air from inside will also escape to the outside. As soon as you are done using an exhaust fan, you should always turn it off. Exhaust fans help stop moisture & odors but you do not want to draw warm air out of your condo for longer than what is necessary.
