Cautious for a reason

These days, with all of the fake news stories that are out there it is hard to take someone’s opinion or statement at face value.

It seems that there are so many dishonest people out there and we don’t want to be taken advantage of.

My brother has always been the gullible type so I was worried when he came home and announced that he needed to purchase a new HVAC system. I recalled that he had purchased to the one in his house just five years prior and I couldn’t imagine that the entire system was bad. When I questioned him about this, he only responded that the system he had was an efficient and out dated. I didn’t want to press him so I sent they ask for the number of the company he was using. I told him that I wanted them to look at my system to and see if I needed a new one, but in reality I just wanted to question them about the reason that he needed it. I felt that the salesperson was just trying to make a sale and that he was taking advantage of my brother. Most HVAC systems last at least ten years if not longer and he spent over a thousand dollars on the current one he has. If he wants to upgrade or add additional features I can understand that too but to replace the whole thing just seems a bit extreme. Having trust in the companies you are working with makes all the difference. You should always check with references and ratings before giving your hard earned money to anyone.
