One of the worst parts about buying a home is people finding your address and sending you useless junk mail.
I really don’t know how these people learn my shopping patterns and then get my home address, but it’s very creepy! Not only is it creepy, but it’s not economically sustainable! Two thirds of the mail in our mailbox is pure junk.
It gets a single glance before it’s tossed right back into the trash. Fortunately, I recycle the paper, but not everybody does. Only about once a month, I’ll receive an advertisement that’s useful to me! For example, last week, I received a flyer for the local HVAC service business. I’ve been doing business with them for many years, so I usually welcome their updates plus coupons in our mailbox. The flyer was all about 5 reasons homeowners should have their HVAC units maintained and serviced.. The first reason was because it would help the HVAC system last longer. Another reason stated that annual maintenance could prevent greater concerns from popping up. The third reason was because the HVAC unit would run more efficiently. Another reason was about an improvement in air quality. And the last reason stated that HVAC maintenance would assist the warranty. I agreed with all of these HVAC maintenance servicing benefits, plus I was thankful they sent it. The flyer acted as a reminder that it was time to have our HVAC unit serviced. This HVAC service business can continue to send us more advertisements in the mail!
