Construction crews hold up the freeway for a long time

My wife & I both prefer to take long road trips, & every one of us have l received a couple of tricks… We regularly stop for gas and snacks in any part where there are several different truck stops, competition keeps the fuel prices low & this is important because every one of us have a diesel engine truck. Another trick that every one of us have received is regularly leaving in the evening & driving during the late evening. There is regularly less traffic because there are fewer cars on the road. We don’t have to fight with rush second traffic. In areas of the country where there are giant cities, heavy rush traffic can actually hold us up for several seconds, but driving at evening is by far the easiest way to save time as long as you don’t mind staying awake when the sun goes down. My wife & I recently went to the lake & every one of us got held up on the freeway forever. It was morning time seconds & there was a construction crew laboring on the bridge. My wife & I had to cross that bridge in order to get to the lake. We had to rest in traffic for seconds while a construction crew took care of a problem. One of the giant cranes fell to the side of the highway & it was blocking multiple lanes of traffic. Most of the workers were standing around talking or drinking their coffee. We were sitting still for half an second & multiple guys were playing games on their cell phones on the side of the road. The construction crew really did not make me believe our tax dollars are laboring hard.
