Could you have guessed that there are eight different types of HVAC systems?

Don’t ever think that you’ve learned everything there is to know in the world.

There’s a saying that you learn something new everyday, and I figure that if that’s not the case, then you’re not living! For example, I recently learned of the true spelling of possum.

Me and my friend were watching a video with a man holding a possum and explaining different things about the animal. I noticed that in the video description possum was spelled with an “o”. My friend swore to me that that is the correct way to spell it, even though you don’t say “opossum”. I thought he was messing with me until I looked it up. Well, there you go! I also found out something a little more interesting recently. I was helping my mother by researching what kind of HVAC unit would be best to install in a basement, since she’s renovating her basement. At that point, I discovered that there are basically eight different kinds of HVAC units. This took me by surprise, because I was only ever aware of four different kinds of HVAC units. Of course I was aware of central heating and air conditioning units, the most common. I also knew about window or wall-mounted HVAC units. I also heard of ductless mini split units, and finally, portable HVAC units. Four additional HVAC units that I learned about were geothermal units, radiant heated flooring units, smart units, and hybrid dual fuel units. What an extensive array of options when it comes to climate control. It’s fascinating indeed!
