I told the kids that they could turn on the air conditioners when they wanted to play in the attic, but they had to remember to turn them off when they were done
I love having a large home out in the country. My parents owned a nice home out in the middle of nowhere, and I loved living there as a child. My siblings and I have so many fond memories of that home with its fifty acres of woods. I wanted may children to be able to make those same kinds of memories with their siblings, so I told my husband that living out in the country was a must for me. We found a beautiful log cabin out in farming country, and we bought it. I absolutely love our home. It has three stories, and all of the bedrooms are on the second floor except my husband’s and mine. The attic is huge as well. It is where the children usually play, but it gets really hot and humid up their during the summertime. My kids asked if there was anything that we could do about the humidity, so my husband decided to buy an air conditioner for up there. We found a good deal on window units, so we bought two of them. The attic is really big, so we put one in the north window, and one in the south window. We do not leave the air conditioners on all of the time because it would cost too much. I told the kids that they could turn on the air conditioners when they wanted to play in the attic, but they had to remember to turn them off when they were done. It has worked out very well so far. The kids are really enjoying having air conditioning!
