I have spent the past 35 years of my life grueling through hot summers with unsatisfactory air conditioner.
The only bit of respite I get from the heat is when I’m in some certain stores that pay to keep their interiors so cold. It’s not cheap running air conditioner in a weather conditions where temperatures are well over 100 degrees for multiple weeks during the year. This is in area why my employers do not spend the cash to keep my office comfortably cool; I get seriously uncomfortable the entirety of my shift if it’s any month of the year besides December and also a few select days in early December. The heat bears down on our building and cooks the office from dawn till dusk. Whenever I am finally beach lake house after my shift, I’m welcomed by an equally hot apartment. Unfortunately, I just cannot afford to keep my beach lake house as comfortably cool as I desire. My energy expenses are dominated by the electricity used to power my central air conditioner. Cutting back on electricity use throughout my lake house from one appliance to the next did little to nothing to help boost my situation. I finally resigned myself to leaving my windows open and running a slew of box fans plus ceiling fans. It at the very least creates a very powerful air modern so it no longer feels care about stagnant heat. Even though it’s not a large improvement, I makes the situation bearable given the onslaught of heat waves any time of the year. I often wonder what it would be care about if I picked up everything I owned plus moved across the country, possibly some locale up north. For the time being, it can only be a dream.
