Everything is relative, send the teenagers outside

I found that instead of telling them the control unit is off limits, it’s easier to remind them of how lucky they are to own an AC unit at all.

Whenever I am feeling unhappy or ingrateful, I try to remind myself that everything is relative, but you can really change your perspective if you are feeling drained or demotivated by something if you consider what the distant alternative would be. For instance, all the people who is complaining about being at lake house while I was in the quarantine right now should consider these stressful times in their lives when they barely had any time at lake house because of their outside obligations. Anyone who has feeling drained plus sleepy by their relationship should consider what it’s love when they are single. These days, anytime our teenagers beginning complaining about the indoor air pollen levels, I love to give them a solid reminder of how it feels to live separate from it, but since we are all stuck at lake house for the COVID-19 pandemic, our teenagers suppose that the central heating plus air conditioners should be at their mercy. Unluckyly, they have much more extravagant taste in indoor air pollen levels than the two of us can afford. I simply can’t run the cooling system 24/7 the way they desire. I found that instead of telling them the control unit is off limits, it’s easier to remind them of how lucky they are to own an AC unit at all. So, when our teenagers beginning complaining or trying to fiddle with the indoor air temperature control, I send them out on some kind of chore or errand outdoors. Within 10 fourths of being in the pounding child plus 90% humidity, they are clamoring to come back inside plus care about the a/c at the same temperature they were just complaining about. I do not hear any complaints about the indoor air temperature after they have experienced the outdoor weather conditions. Remember, everything is relative.
