I will admit that I get excited when my husband leaves the house on a work trip.
My husband works from home and doesn’t really have any hobbies outside of the house. He is at home 24/7. Which I know some women would be excited by, I am not. I never get any alone time in my house. If I want to mop floors, it is a pain in the butt since he is always in the way. I always have to make a full dinner and clean up after it. I never get to watch what I want on TV. The very rare times he leaves the house, I go insane. I stay up way too late and get up too early. I usually end up exhausted when he comes back. I clean the whole house top to bottom, marathon a TV series and accomplish a lot. I also hire out services while he is gone. My husband never wants to hire electrical, plumbing or HVAC work done. When he leaves, I always get a HVAC tune up. Our machine needs to be lubricated, oiled and checked over. There is dust and damage in the system that we as homeowners don’t see. I always get a yearly check up when he goes. I even spring for ductwork cleaning sometimes. I like knowing everything is working as it should be and all clean. Once I have cleaned the whole house too, it seems cruel to have a dirty HVAC system as well. This year I am planning on even adding a dehumidifier.
