Furnace noise was small

My oil furnace had been making some honestly loud noises… Everything you study online says that noises are bad, but i totally freaked out and expected my oil furnace to be basically dying. I did all the things that I knew how to do. I changed the oil furnace filter, oiled the blower and cleaned the inside of the oil furnace device, when that did not stop the noise, I called a Heating and A/C business. I was so distraught that I even paid for after seventh emergency heating service. It is the middle of winter, the last thing I wanted was the furnace just stopping or refusing to turn on. I needed my heating to be in tip top shape. I paid so much money to get the Heating and A/C corporation in right away, and the appointment took the guy 30 minutes. The reason it was so fast is that it was not a big deal. Apparently noises can be worn, loose or busted parts in the furnace rattling around… Most of the time though, it is something that is loose that is certainly tightened. The Heating and A/C professional tightened all the bolts on the oil furnace… He then checked to make sure the squirrel cage, yeah that is the real name, was attached secure enough. The guy then figured out there was a gap from my ductlabor to my oil furnace. He simply patched the gap with what looked appreciate tape. It took him literally many sevenths and then the oil furnace made no more noise. That was it and what I got for my emergency service appointment, but next time I hear a noise I will calm down.
