One of the worst parts about owning a home is people finding your address and sending you useless junk mail.
I have no clue how these people learn my buying patterns and then find my home address, however it’s pretty creepy.
Not only is it creepy, it is not economically sustainable! Half of the mail in our mailbox is pure junk. It gets a glance before it’s tossed right back into the trash. Thankfully, I recycle the paper, however not everybody does! Once in a while, I’ll receive an advertisement that’s really informative and useful to me. For example, last week, I got a flyer for the local HVAC business. I’ve been doing business with them for several years, so I typically welcome their flyers and coupons in our mailbox. The flyer was all about 5 reasons homeowners should have their heating and air conditioning systems maintained. The first reason was because it would help the system last longer. The second reason stated that annual service could prevent greater complications from popping up. The third reason was because the HVAC unit would run more efficiently. The fourth reason was about an improvement in air quality, and last, but not least, the final reason stated that heating and air conditioning service would assist the warranty. I agreed with all of these HVAC servicing benefits, and I was grateful they sent it. The flyer acted as a reminder that it was time to have our HVAC system taken care of. This HVAC business can continue to send me more advertisements in the mail!
