It took being gifted a smart control component for myself and others to make the change.
I’m not really sure why it took myself and others nearly a decade to get onboard the smart control component train.
It’s not that I was actively resisting having this sort of Heating & A/C technology inside our home. That’s not it at all. For sure, I’m unquestionably appreciative of all the technology that I have in my life. From the devices that I use everyday at new home to all the technology that makes my task easier inside the zone controlled Heating & A/C of the office. So it wasn’t that I was trying to limit the amount of technology in my life. That wasn’t it at all. I guess perhaps it was more the fact that I tend to be a creature of habit. And when it comes to the Heating & A/C, that’s particularly true. I sort of have regularly had a structure in addition to a process when it came to the heating in addition to cooling of my home. When I first became a homeowner, I also was lucky to get the latest in residential Heating & A/C equipment. But that was just prior to the advent of the smart control unit. So when I got the digital control component with the new Heating & A/C unit, I went about reading all about it. And so, I’ve regularly simply programmed the digital control component for the peculiar seasons. That all changed when my in laws gave us a smart control unit. Once it was installed, I did what was commanded in addition to just basically left it alone. I can’t guess how much that Heating & A/C technology just saved us in Heating & A/C cooling over the course of a summer. I’m onboard the smart control component train now.
