Hopeful the heater is fixed

I have a heating plan in our apartment that runs on boiling-hot water to keep warm, but also have a fireplace that I like to use and actually enjoy chopping wood for it.

Though, the heating plan is of good use as I’m not consistently up for staying awake to strike a fire! The radiator is the heating system plan in our apartment.

It is composed of more than one radiators all around – one in our dining room, and the other in the hallway between our family room and bathroom, since there’s more than one radiators in the place, the boiler in the basement of the apartment complex tends to work double-time to keep both systems running, but it doesn’t consistently work without a problem of some kind… Recently, I had to pay some pretty large bucks to get our boiler repaired, as well as the piping leading to the radiators themselves which was a total nightmare! However that’s the thing – no one ever tells you that using a radiator means you have to keep antifreeze in the pipes! I left my apartment for a few weeks for a work-related trip out of town, and it totally slipped from my mind to put the chemicals into our pipes, and when I came home, I had a large mess to clean up. Water destruction to an apartment is no joke! Well, I guess it’s a wonderful thing that I don’t mind cutting wood to keep a fire going in our fireplace, and after the expansive repair bills they gave me for the radiators and boiler, as well as the cleanup costs they gave me from the water destruction, I’ll be sticking to a fireplace as our heat source for a long time coming! That is for sure!
