HVAC companies charge way too much money for repairing your HVAC units, and I don’t like it.
I would hate to find out how much money I have spent over the years on my HVAC units, and I know that a lot of the money that I have spent on HVAC units has actually occurred through the repairs of my HVAC units.
HVAC units are expensive, but the initial cost of the HVAC unit is offset by the fact that you often do not have to replace your furnace or central air conditioner until your furnace is 15-20 years old. However, your furnace or central air conditioner will require repairs throughout the years that will end up costing you money in the long run. The actual price of the parts for repairing your HVAC units is not going to be a lot. Sure, the HVAC companies will charge you ten times the price for the parts, but if you were to purchase the parts on your own, you would find that they aren’t expensive. However, the HVAC company charges a lot for labor. Now, I think that HVAC technicians should get paid, and I understand that their labor is worth money. However, do you honestly think that HVAC companies should charge nearly $200 per hour for the labor of their HVAC technicians? HVAC technicians don’t even make a quarter of that money. This means that it goes into the pocket of the owner of the HVAC company. I think that the HVAC company should be more concerned about their customers rather than for their wallets.
