HVAC technology hasn’t gone anywhere in a while

The other day while I was bored sitting around the house I was thinking about all kinds of odd things.

One of the odd things that popped into my head was that heating and air conditioning technology has not gone anywhere in quite a few years! I think the last major invention in the heating and air conditioning business was the invention of the smart air vents.

And this was a few years or more ago. Could it possibly be that there is no more advancements to heating and air conditioning technology available? Could it mean that the people who invent heating and air conditioning technology these days have run out of ideas on how to improve the ways we heat and cool our homes? I am starting to fear that this may be the actual case here as to why there has been no more heating and air conditioning technology advancements in the last years. If this is in fact the case and they are not just busy building and inventing the best piece of heating and air conditioning technology yet, I would have to say that I would be happy with what is out there. I mean look at all the great things that have come in the last 20 years or so. The smart thermostat, the radiant heated floors, the zoned heating and air conditioning systems (also known as heating and cooling zone control) and even the smart air vents! I could go on and on, but there has been so many thought to be futuristic forms of new HVAC technology in the last 20 years, that it’s ok.
