I could definitely actually smell the air duct.

Have you ever walked into someone’s house, and you could smell the dust and stale tepid air from winter. I walked into my brother’s condo one afternoon and told him I could smell the air duct. She looked at me like I was nuts. She wanted to know what I meant when I said I could smell the air duct. I told him he needed to have the air duct cleaned before turning on the cooling system. The condo smelled dusty and full of stale tepid air from the winter. She asked if I thought a whole condo whole-condo air purifier would. I knew it would help, although he still needed to have the air duct cleaned. She told me if anyone else had come into the condo and told him they could smell the air duct, he would be offended, however knowing me and he did, he took it in stride and called the heating and A/C company. A week later, the heating and A/C company had a team of air duct cleaners at the house. She called me up once the boiler was off for the season and asked if I wanted to smell his condo again. I agreed to go for supper. When I walked in, the condo smelled fresh and clean. I asked when he was going to have the whole-condo air purifier installed, and he rolled his eyes. She told me I was as pushy as his hubby. I reminded him it was just the heating and A/C worker in us and asked what’s for supper. His hubby could not smell the air duct, so I thought that made me the better heating and A/C worker in the family.
