I have always had a passion when it comes to reading old books.
This is why I have my own library with a dedicated collection.
I swear that everytime I come across an old bookstore, I am overwhelmed with vellichor. There is no way that I can just walk by without going into the bookstore to see what they have! I love the scent of all those books, and I realize that there’s no way that I could possibly read them all in my lifetime, but I love to collect what I can and spend countless hours reading in front of my fireplace. Because I care so much about my book collection, I have installed a humidifier/dehumidifier combo unit in my library. This has been an excellent investment because it’s important to be able to keep the humidity levels just right for your book collection. It also helps to have a powerful air purification system which keeps the air quality great. Not only do you feel more comfortable when reading your books, but it keeps the books in excellent condition over the years. All of my books are a treasure to me, and I know that my HVAC component investments will lengthen the life of these books a great deal. I always keep the humidistat at just the right levels in my library with my humidifier unit. Apart from these excellent HVAC investments, I am also considering investing in radiant heated floors for my home. This is because my floors always feel so cold in my house, and I certainly could use the comfort of radiant heated floors especially when I am reading books in my library.
