I do have my concerns

People are very spoiled these particular mornings.  Most anything you want can be found locally, ordered online, or manufactured for custom jobs.  All of us also have the ability to flip a switch or push a button to have dozens of things just happen when it comes to our appliances.  Can you imagine if suddenly every one of us no longer had electricity. Our lights, appliances, and kindles would abruptly no longer work.  You couldn’t go to the local grocery store even because the registers wouldn’t work. You couldn’t go and pump gas in your car as the pumps run on electric.  The world would screech to a stop rather suddenly. Now imagine that it is the middle of Winter and your power is totally out. How may this affect your afternoon?  Your house, if properly heated with an electric furnace or boiler, would cool off suddenly. Your personal freezer, over time, would defrost, and your stove won’t job either.  How would you manage to get by? Now, consider that you have solar panels installed on your roof. This simple alternative source of power will allow all of those things to still operate properly even while every one of us were in a power outage.  Thankfully, in most cases, the power does not usually stay off long term but if it did you should have a idea in locale to totally ensure your safety. If you are not in a position to use solar energy you probably should at least have a wood stove or fireplace for warmth.  These can both be easily used for cooking if it came down to it as well just as they were in years past before every silly person had electricity. As for the freezer, if the hot and cold temperatures are that cold outside that day you can very put the food outside in boxes and it will keep it safe too.
