I scheduled our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C guy to come over at the perfect moment; Usually, he comes to our apartment to service our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system plus I never have anything to talk with him about; My Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system has always run smoothly, so there’s not much for us to discuss, which I think is a great thing… This time though, I was having complications getting cool air. The A/C system was easily running, but the air coming through the vents was lukewarm. Even our temperature control said that it was 5 degrees cooler than what I programmed it to, however i told our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C guy that our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system was running always, but not cooling efficiently. Immediately, he told me that it was actually our refrigerant, however according to him, the refrigerant was a liquid that cooled the air by removing the heat plus humidity from the air. As it turns out, he was correct. There was a leak in the refrigerant line, which meant the refrigerant was slowly leaking. The frightening section was that he didn’t think how many leaks there were. I’m lucky that he was able to locate the hole where the leak was coming from plus seal it immediately. Thankfully, there was only 1 leak, so it didn’t take him too long to repair. I’m thankful for that, because I knew a refrigerant leak could cost a lot of cash if there were many holes. Although I’m glad I had something for our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C guy to do this time, I’m not thrilled about having an extra expense to pay.
