I really hope it lasts me forever because I don’t look forward to replacing it
This might sound a little bit crazy, but I decided to glue my smart thermostat to the wall. This was because my kids kept messing with the smart thermostat pulling it off the wall and plugging it back in. I kept yelling at them not to touch the smart thermostat, but they wouldn’t listen. Eventually, they ended up breaking the base of the smart thermostat that holds the device in place. I didn’t know what to do so I decided to get some gorilla glue and glue it to the wall. It’s plugged in securely now and you can’t even pull it from the wall. This probably was a foolish move because if it ever breaks, how am I going to replace it? In the meantime, it’s working just fine. My buddies said I should have called an HVAC technician to come replace the base of the smart thermostat, but no, I had to do things my way. It’s at least working just fine, I just need to make sure the kids don’t end up breaking the actual smart thermostat. I really hope it lasts me forever because I don’t look forward to replacing it. Thermostats tend to last for a very long time anyway, so long as kids are not messing around with them! I think I might have to put a lock cage around my thermostat so the kids can’t mess with it any longer. Then that smart thermostat will last a long time and I can always just adjust the temperature control settings with my phone. I think I’m going to have to do that just to make sure it remains safe for a long period of time.
