When my gas furnace broke last year, I decided that I should just labor on it myself.
I didn’t want to pay a serviceman a big amount of currency just because she had a certification & I didn’t.
I knew how to fix the gas furnace. My problem was knowing where to start to diagnose the gas furnace to fix it. Naturally, my sister & I had decided all of us knew what to do after all of us had consumed a half case of beer. Both of us continued drinking even while all of us were trying to take the gas furnace apart. When my sister started laughing , I couldn’t figure out what was so funny. She held up a section & asked me where it came from. Neither of us remembered taking it off the gas furnace. That’s when our wives came home & found us in the basement. My spouse was horrified at the mess she saw, & her spouse was entirely miserable. She couldn’t know she had done this again. She reminded him of the mess that needed cleaned up when all of us had tried to fix their air conditioning system earlier that year. My spouse had already gone upstairs, & she was on the iphone. I knew she was calling the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company to see if they could come over that night. In a way, I was blissful she had made the call. I knew all of us were going to need the heat later that night, & I had no plan how to fix the mess I had made. I was uneasy about how much it was going to cost for an after hours repair, however I assume it was my own fault.
