I learned three tips to make the most of your A/C

I recently started looking for different ways to get the most out of my central air conditioning system.

I found three tips that might be helpful to you as well when the weather starts heating up again next spring. First, make sure that your thermostat is in good working order. If it isn’t, or if your thermostat isn’t located in a good location in your home, it can actually cause you to have problems with your air conditioning system. For instance, if it’s located where the sun is going to hit it often or close to a heating source like a stove or a fireplace, then it’s going to cause your air conditioning to run more often than it should. I guess that’s just common sense, but sometimes people don’t think about that sort of thing. Another thing that you can do to help make the most of your air conditioning is to make sure that your air filters are always changed whenever they need to be. Having dirty air filters will cause your A/C unit and heating unit to have to run much harder than they need to. Always double check your air filters if you want your A/C to run to the best of its ability. Lastly, clear away any debris that might be clogging up the exterior A/C unit that’s somewhere outside your home. You never know when weeds or vines or tree branches might get near your exterior A/C unit and if they get into the fan, it could tear up your whole A/C system.
