I will divulge that I get way too excited when my wife leaves for a business trip.
Since she works from home and doesn’t engage in many hobbies outside of the house, she spends most of her time at home.
As much as I love my wife, I never get any alone time in our house. If I want to do any cleaning, it is a pain in the butt since she is always in the way. She is busy, so I end up doing a lot of cooking and cleaning throughout the day. I never get to watch what I want on TV because I am worried about the noise disturbing her. On the few occasions where I get the house to myself, I take full advantage of it. I stay up way too late plus get up too early. I usually end up tired by the time she comes back. I disinfect the whole home top to bottom, catch up on all my tv shows, and order food. I also hire out services while she is gone. My wife never wants to hire electrical, plumbing or have HVAC work done. When she leaves, I always get an HVAC tune up. Our equipment needs to be lubricated, oiled plus checked over regularly. Dust can build up and damage HVAC equipment without homeowners realizing. I always get a yearly check up when she goes. Every few years, I even get all the ductwork professionally cleaned. I appreciate knowing everything is finally working as it should be and is all clean. This year I am planning on even adding a dehumidifier. I think it’s important to keep a clean home, and that extends to air quality.
