I found out that efficiency ratings not only referring to the energy use of the a/c unit, however it also refers to the amount of a/c we received for the least amount of energy.
I decided I wanted an A/C unit with SEER of at least 20, but the HVAC worker came to the apartment that week, plus asked what I had decided on. I told him I wanted the SEER of at least 20 plus he smiled… He said that was really aggressive, plus it was doable. He wanted to make sure we had what we wanted, plus he was going to get us specs on various a/c units they had in stock. I thanked him, plus he said he would be back the next day when my partner was home, but both of us sat down that evening plus discussed what I had found, plus he agreed with me, however now, all we had to do was look at the A/C units the HVAC tech was talking about. Both of us carefully went over the various A/C units they had in stock. I liked the 1 more than the others, plus asked what the largest difference was. He told me the SEER was 20, plus it was a more compact A/C unit. He could install the A/C unit the following week, plus we set up the appointment for when both my partner plus I were home.
