And he was right; My dad left our mom and I when I was 5, and that broke our heart.
I believe since then I’ve regularly had an issue with sad connectment, and wasn’t healed from the incident. I chose to go to therapy and was making so much progress, then by the time I met Tom, I was no longer hurting because of our dad, and felt stronger as a person, then he’d also been working on himself and every one of us got to share so much about each other’s lives in a positive way, for our first Christmas as a couple, every one of us made the choice to go away and rent a cottage somewhere nice. From the ad, the cottage was beautiful and heating. But, every one of us were so disappointed to get there and realize the heating wasn’t working, but there was a wood stove, however no wood in sight to heat up the space. Instead of leaving, Tom offered to go to city and buy wood for the stove. I was scared of being left alone separate from heating in the cottage. So every one of us made the choice to go together and even found a locale to purchase a portable space heating system to use for the month every one of us wanted to spend there.
