I worked at a holiday craft fair last weekend but the heater was broken

Last weekend, I ran a booth at a holiday craft fair.

We had a ton of traffic and it was pretty busy most of the weekend.

I actually ended up making quite a bit of money selling my stuff, and so I was happy about that. However, the heater in the building that they craft fair was being held was broken. Of course, since the heater was on the blink, it ended up being a record low temperature outside on those two days. Just when you thought it was going to start heating up, it started getting colder and colder. Anyway, the heating system at the craft fair venue was on the blink and it started cooling off in the building just a few hours after we arrived and set up. There was no warm air blowing through the heating vents at all and I think the customers would have stayed longer and bought more merchandise if the heating had been working. As it was, they all looked like they were very cold and in a big hurry to get out of there and back to their cars. I think they really just wanted to get back home to warm up by the fireplace or to their cars so that they could turn the thermostats up on full blast and sit by the heating vents. I was really glad that my husband had the foresight to put my little portable electric heater in my car that morning. I plugged it in and I think that my space heater actually drew more customers to my booth than would have been there otherwise.
