Both of our pets have medium size hair plus they said twice during the year… The pets shed when it is the Springtime weeks plus then they shed again in the fall.
There is a lot of hair inside of our tiny house, so I have to be particular that the AC is not affected by the problem, but excessive pet hair can cause a number of issues with the heating plus cooling system, however pet hair can block the air filter plus cause a problem with air flow to the machine.
Pet hair can cause damage to internal machinery plus it can cause issues with the electrical work plus well as possibly lead to a fire, however dirty air filters should be cleaned at least once each week! I have a small portable AC unit. It has an air filter on the side plus 2 more greater air filters on the back of the machine. The AC unit has the capability of being a dehumidifier as well. Because our 2 pets shed frequently, I always need to be on top of the service on the portable AC unit. Each one of the air filters needs to be cleaned bi-weekly. I noticed a lot more dirt plus pet hair on the filters if I wait 2 weeks plus I think that causes some issues when I run the portable AC unit, then when the air filters are dirty, I think prefer the component runs for a lot longer plus it seems to take longer for the portable AC to get to the right temperature.
