It really amazes me the amount of things that I am oblivious to! I don’t understand how I grew up separate from realizing particular things.
I don’t suppose it is because my parents didn’t attempt to teach myself and others these things.
I suppose it is just because I am an awful listener. It is particularly bad, and I need to change it as soon as possible. I still struggle with it to this day. I have a real hard time focusing, and I struggle to pay attention to anything that I am not interested in. One of the things that my dad mentioned to myself and others a few years ago when I purchased my A/C machine was that I needed to change the air filter in it from time to time. He said to do it about 3 times per year. I don’t even remember him saying that which is totally bad. I noticed that my A/C machine was starting to put off a terrible smell that I was not okay with, although I had no idea why it was happening. Every time that I walked past my A/C machine, the stench became stronger, so I knew that it was coming from the A/C machine and not anywhere else. I asked my dad why my A/C machine would be putting off such a bad smell, and he asked if I had changed the air filter recently. I told him that I had never changed the filter in my A/C machine before, and he started laughing at me hysterically. He explained to myself and others how to change the filter and told myself and others to start swapping it out every few months. He also reminded myself and others that he had already told myself and others that when I purchased the A/C machine in the first place. I particularly need to learn to listen better.
