I have never learned so much about my health and well being than I did during the past year.
A pandemic will sure get a person like me to pay attention to health concerns.
I guess that I should be thankful that something finally did. For me, I’ve always been of the mind that I can wait on getting healthy and fit. Meanwhile, I spend way too much time on my butt in the air conditioned comfort of my living room. But the pandemic forced me to change that routine and change it dramatically. I had to work from the HVAC controlled environment of my home every single day. That meant that I would get out of the air conditioning in the evening to get some fresh air and a bit of exercise. This was the beginning of a real change when it came to my health and fitness. It also spurred me to change my diet, my rest routine and even the indoor air quality of my home. Finding out just how important indoor air quality is to my health was a bit shocking. Airborne contaminants are attacking our respiratory system basically non stop. And this drags both our respiratory health and our immune response down. But it’s easy to change that with a simple change of an air filter. I replaced the cheap HVAC air filter with a HEPA type air filter. This type of air filtration is a serious improvement. The HEPA type air filter traps and removes over 99 percent of the airborne contaminants that irritate our sinuses and lungs. It made a tremendous difference in my breathing and my allergies.
