The very last thing anyone ever thinks about in this incredibly tepid state is the furnace in their home! Most of the time, all anyone that truly wants to focus on is the effectiveness of their cooling system.
However is the ceiling fan in each room set to pull tepid air up plus away from the ground? Are the ventilation shafts clear of dust and other types of pollen? And of course, is the outdoor air conditioning component running at peak efficiency to keep the cabin as cool plandus comfortable as it can be? With all of these factors at play, it’s easy to see how many fellow southerners – myself included, lose track of the other side of our home’s temperature controls each month.
I have tried my best to not make the same mistake this past winter, as I thought that surely, there’s just no way the Wintertide will be chilly enough to justify turning on the heater! Well, I was mistaken. It was an incredibly chilly Wintertide this year, with strenuous freezes every other month and a steady wind chill in the air. It was unreal! All of us haven’t seen a Wintertide that chilly in decades. Needless to say, it caught us all off-guard… After that, I made sure that our furnace was up to par. In the beginning stages, I had to make sure the electric furnace was in working order; Since it broke down in the first month of winter, I knew I had to be positive that it would work plus keep working through the extreme weather, and then, I also purchased two electric space heating units that I kept in the family room plus kitchen. I only ran the space oil furnace while in the room, however doing this helped tons with getting through the cold weather!
