Normally, I am laboring in the middle of the labor week, i had taken a week’s holiday over the Christmas holiday, so I could spend it with my new wife and her family.
All of us were in the mountains, where there happened to be snow. All of us had our own lake house not fifty feet from where her family was staying, however they thought the people I was with and I would want our privacy since the people I was with and I had been married for less than 6 months. At 5 AM, there was a knock on our window and on our door. My wife’s Dad was trying to get us out of bed! She said there was no heat in their cabin, and they couldn’t find an Heating and Air Conditioning business. My wife nudged myself and others and told myself and others to go fix the Heating and Air Conditioning system. A year ago, she didn’t want anyone to suppose I was an Heating and Air Conditioning business, but this week was different. She wanted myself and others to get out of my moderate bed and repair the furnace while on holiday. My mother-in-law apologized for getting myself and others up, but it was cold in the main house. The family was now in our smaller cabin, while I froze while laboring on the furnace in theirs. I looked at all the space they had and I had to laugh. It was a nice afternoon in the mountain, but I wasn’t supposed to be laboring, but here I was. I was repairing a furnace for someone who wouldn’t spend my money me, but it made my wife glad. After I repaired the furnace, my mother-in-law told myself and others she called the main office. They were going to reimburse us for our stay, since I had repaired the furnace.
