The flat is legitimately quiet now at 3 in the afternoon, as the streets are now void of tourists plus most of the stores are closed for a few hours for siesta time. In the early summer time at this time it is even more still as the stifling heat cripples all the people plus keeps them in their homes till late in the night when it finally starts to supply some relief from the heat. The temps can also hit well over 100F plus when it is humid out it makes it almost impossible to be out in the sun doing anything. All of the heating up early in the day keeps you in the flat most of the day, plus hopefully with some nice air conditioning. I have a backup machine in fact, because I cannot sleep in a family room that has nothing more than a fan to keep you cool. I’ve tried sleeping without a/c in this country a few times plus I swore I would never go again without some kind of weather conditions control system to keep me cool while I sleep. So now I have a backup machine in case the main system went down for some reason, however if the power to the building goes out one night then I am in trouble, especially if it is in the middle of the summer time season. But all you can do is simply try your best, plus having two heating in addition to A/C systems is trying my best. I guess I could go for a midnight swim in the sea if my power went out, but I could have a whole weird set of concerns if I were to spot a fin.
