Moving while pregnant

Finding a new place to live while I was pregnant was a very hard thing to manage, especially while working a full time job.

  • Throw in a pandemic on top of all that, and it starts to seem insurmountable.

Luckily, my husband and I just signed the closing contract. My husband thought that I was making too many demands, but he was wrong. When I stopped working at the end of my pregnancy, I had more time to look for exactly what I wanted. My top priority was a brand new HVAC unit. When I say brand new, I mean an HVAC unit that has not been used for more than a few months. My husband thought this was absolutely bonkers, but research suggests that breathing in air from an old HVAC unit is the same as breathing in the air and particles left by the prior homeowners. During a pandemic, I need to know that won’t be the case with our new home. Oh, did I mention the fireplace? In addition to the new heating and cooling units, I also wanted a wood burning fireplace with a brick chimney. My husband told me I needed to bend on something. He said there was no way we would find a house with both a fireplace and a brand new heating and cooling system. Well, he was wrong, and we couldn’t be happier with our new home!
