My Compressor Failed Because of Me

Just as the warmer weather was arriving, I made a list of things to get done around the house.

I suppose you could call it a Springtime cleaning list, however it was less cleaning plus more organizing plus checking off the boxes of things that needed to be done as a responsible homeowner.

I didn’t make it through the entire list, which I regretted instantly. Almost as soon as I threw away the unfinished list, our compressor component failed. The HVAC supplier came to our home as soon as it stopped working plus I was convinced that I’d need a new compressor unit. I was even more infuriated with myself because I had been meaning to clean the compressor unit’s coils during our Springtime cleaning. The job consistently felt too complicated, which is why I kept putting it off plus why our compressor failed. The HVAC supplier told myself and others that the coils were too dirty plus the harsh heat wasn’t helping. They also told myself and others that they were going to clean off the entire compressor component plus wait to see if it would bring it back to life. If the cleaning didn’t help, then I’d have to replace the compressor component completely. This was devastating news plus I was disappointed in myself because I could have prevented it. If I would have stuck with our list plus certainly cleaned the coils, I could be hundreds of dollars richer plus less busy over purchasing a new compressor. I l received our lesson the hard way.
