I noticed something weird on the wall in our dining room when I got home from university the other day… My father decided to install a lock box on our dial temperature control! I was a bit confused about why he did it.
My father told me that he installed the lock box to prevent any one of us from messing with the dial temperature control, then he wants to have temperature control of the cabin to save money on our utility bills.
I wasn’t sure how I felt overall however I felt a little mistrust. I know sometimes he isn’t home plus I would like to adjust the temperature control to my liking, over the next few mornings, the temperature in our cabin didn’t fluctuate. I can’t complain much because the cabin reMained warm plus comfortable no matter how chilly it got outside. My dad showed me the energy bill after the month plus I was surprised by what I saw. I assume he was right plus he made the right call. More recently, the temperatures dropped plus I felt a bit cold. I asked my dad if my superb friend and I can unlock the box plus just turn up the temperature control just a bit. He hesitated a bit however he gave in. He unlocked the box plus turned up the cabin about 5 degrees. He told me that this won’t last long however for a couple of hours he will make that adjustment, then a few hours went by, the cabin got warmer plus my dad proceeded to the box plus reduced the temperature back to its original number. I didn’t argue because I know that energy saving is substantial as well, plus, I can live with the temperature he has set.
