My dad doesn’t know how to use space heaters safely, and I am afraid that he is going to die one day because of the way that he is using the space heaters in his house.
Now, I should let you know that I am not a huge fan of space heaters.
Space heaters are inherently unsafe compared to normal heating systems, and I worry about anyone that uses a space heater. However, some people have to use space heaters for their house, and I understand that. That is why I am thankful that there are specific instructions on the space heater that tell people how to use the space heaters safely to minimize the risk of setting your house on fire. Unfortunately, most people do not heed the warnings on the space heater, and that is what causes so many house fires during the winter. My dad is one of those people that doesn’t care how the space heater is used. My dad has problems with his furnace, and he gets his home primarily through space heaters. He leaves the space heaters on throughout the day and night, even while he is away from the house. Furthermore, he has too many space heaters on the same electrical circuit, and he has even melted a few outlets. Still, he does not care. I am afraid that I am going to find out that my father died because of a fire caused by the space heater. He just doesn’t know how to use the space heaters properly, and he doesn’t want to learn either.
