My husband always wants to buy the most expensive brand of air filters that are available.
He says that they are the highest quality available, and that these HEPA filters will be able to get the most dust, dirt, pollen, and other irritants out of our ventilation system in our home.
I don’t know about that, though. I’m not exactly an expert on heating and cooling systems or anything, but a lot of times I think that we just pay for the name that’s placed on something. I’m not a big believer in brand names, but my husband says that a HEPA filter isn’t exactly a brand name. He says that it’s more the type of air filter rather than the brand. I don’t know, but I think that there are much more inexpensive air filters out there that we could be using in our HVAC system at home. And to tell you the truth, I feel like the cheaper brands of air filters could really do the same exact job most of the time. My husband doesn’t think so, though. I think that we should cut the budget and stop spending so much on these air filters, but he always insists on buying HEPA filters, no matter what. He says that I just don’t know what I’m talking about when it comes to indoor air quality and the importance of it. And maybe he’s right. I just think that it would be okay to use cheaper air filters once in a while, just to help save money on our budget from time to time.
