My media air cleaner had a clogged filter inside

This past week has been filled with one frustration after the next. The last time I got in a fender-bender was while I was a teenager in high university, so it’s unusual for myself and others to experience something like this again. At least I have superb automobile insurance this time around to cover the situation. When that happened at 18, I had to use every last dollar I had saved from graduation gifts just to repair my automobile and get it road worthy again. That was a hard lesson for myself and others to learn, however an important one regardless. I was much more careful driving from that point on and I’m glad to say that I haven’t dealt with a problem once in the years since until this week. At least this time I not only have superb insurance, however also the comprehension that it wasn’t my fault. However, another problem I dealt with this week was 100% my fault. I had forgotten to replace the media air cleaner filter for the past multiple weeks after it hit the 6 month mark. That’s the longest the manufacturer recommends using the HEPA filters that come inside the media air cleaners. After 6 months of yearly use, the HEPA filter in my media air cleaner gets so clogged that it can overwork the fan motor inside. The risk of the fan motor getting boiling is fire, and that is not something you want to deal with in any situation, that’s for sure. Luckily, my blunder of forgetting to replace the media air cleaner filter did not result in any catastrophic damage to the component or the rest of my house.
