When I was growing up I had bad asthma attacks a lot, but neither of our parents has asthma, so they did not recognize what to do.
It was all a reading process for them.
Some of our early years were pretty hard for them plus me. But it was not in vain, because several years later I now find out that our child has asthma, just like me. I have been able to use the lessons that our parents l received the hard way. As soon as she started showing symptoms, I called an Heating, Ventilation & A/C business plus had them clean our ductworks… Duct cleaning was pressing for our asthma growing up. I change our air-conditioning filters all the time too. One of the main things that helps is having a HEPA filter. To any parents of children with asthma I cannot propose these enough. On top of this I have another whole home media air cleaner. This may seem like overkill to some people, however our child has truly extreme asthma, just like I did. It is best in such cases to ensure as little contaminants as possible are in the air. I also keep a dehumidifier handy, just in case we need it. All of this may seem high-priced, however it is less high-priced than a trip to the hospital, plus less spine-chilling, however growing up, our parents had to take me to the hospital for asthma attacks in the middle of the night a few times. They were truly spine-chilling to me when I was a kid, plus even as I got older!
