After my girlfriend broke up with me, I have been spending a lot of time alone in my apartment with my dog.

If I want to come home and drink a few beers while I play video games for a few hours, I’m not going to beat myself up about it. It feels a little refreshing for a change to have alone time for myself and not have to constantly worry about how another person feels about every single thing I say and do each day. I can watch whatever movies I want, what TV shows I like, and I’ll listen to music whenever and at whatever volume I prefer. Unfortunately, I can’t indulge with everything in my home life right now. I wish I could keep the temperature inside lower so I’m comfortable at every minute while I’m at home, but the air conditioner hasn’t been working so well lately. I was going to let it go until my dog started panting a lot more throughout the afternoon whenever I’m at home to see it. The thought of him getting sick because I’m too cheap to replace the air conditioner was too much for me to handle. That’s when I decided to visit the hardware store to get a new window air conditioner. I had my neighbor help me with the installation job since he has done it multiple times himself. I found a window air conditioner with a higher BTU rating and I have never been more comfortable in this apartment. It’s nice seeing my dog sicking on the floor and sleeping instead of panting in the heat. We’re both satisfied regardless of how hot it gets outside.
