There really aren’t a lot of women in the heating and air conditioning field.
It’s so rare that my wife often gets looks from people when she shows up at the front door. My wife is a professional HVAC technician and she owns her own company. It took a really long time for us to get to this place. A lot of people didn’t want to give my wife their commercial HVAC business and that kept us in a small building for a long time. Once she picked up a couple of commercial HVAC clients, we were in a bigger building and our business quadrupled. My wife worked in the industry for a long time before she started a business of her own. We actually met when my wife was working on one of the repair jobs from her old company. I was working at a tech company and she came to fix the boiler. I happened to be downstairs by the boiler area. I was actually outside smoking a joint. She came out of the boiler room and saw me smoking a joint. She didn’t say anything at all until she came back a second time and saw me. I thought that she seemed pretty cool and I got her number before she left. We started talking on Facebook and then we got together at the coffee house. We went to the movies and the theater. The two of us were married six months later at a beach down south with the waves crashing behind us.
