I have to admit that it seems like my wife really looks forward to her alone time when I am away on a business trip.
I can understand why she looks forward to her alone time because I am honestly always at home.
Since I work remotely, I am parked on the couch most of the time. I don’t have many hobbies that bring me out of the house either. When she is cleaning or working on something at the house, I always feel like I’m in her way. Sometimes, I can monopolize the television, as well. I don’t mean to be this way, but I can always tell that she is trying to squeeze in a million things while I’m gone. She’ll watch a whole season of a TV show, stay up late, and clean the whole house. She even hires HVAC maintenance while I’m gone. Last time I went out of town, she even got all the ductwork cleaned professionally. She likes to keep up with an HVAC maintenance plan because she wants to make sure everything is clean and working properly. She has an HVAC technician come to the house twice a year to service our heating and cooling equipment. They always give our HVAC equipment a tune up and ensure that there is no dust or damage. After my last trip, my wife told me that she intends to get a humidifier added to our heating and cooling system. She is so on top of it when it comes to HVAC maintenance and keeping a clean home.
