There’s no worse feeling than the one you get when you realize that you’ve waited too long to pay a certain bill. Some companies have the courtesy to send a warning to you about how services will soon be shut off, but many businesses won’t even bother to give you a fair warning! More than once, I’ve had my phone suddenly cut off from service, as well as my internet and even my power. When the power goes out, you’re really in trouble! As if it’s not bad enough that the power is out, the agony starts to set in when you realize that no power means no air conditioning. That’s the worst part of all! I can’t stand being in a house with no heating, air conditioning, or even the power to run a ceiling fan. The air quality inside the house falls apart within an hour when there’s no power, and I just wish that I was anywhere else in the world when it happens. Thankfully, I’ve been much more on-the-spot about getting my power bill and other bills paid on time. That’s mostly due to me getting a smart thermostat for my home’s HVAC system, as the smart thermostat helps to prevent the system from running for too long or use too much energy. In turn, the energy bills have begun to decrease, thus making them far more affordable to keep up with! Now if only I could find a cheaper phone and internet plan, I wouldn’t have to worry about those two utilities being cut off, either.
